An Old-Fashioned Girl, by Louisa May Alcott

Sacker created covers for at least thirteen Alcott titles between 1899 and 1908 or so. The spine designs appear to be identical on many of the titles. Some copies of this work (perhaps the first printing) show a different spine design--a silhouette portrait of a girl in an oval frame, with ribbons [see below]. An example of the scarce dust jacket (thanks to John Lehner) can also be seen below.
