Unattributed reuse of the Philip winwood design

Winwood image in a bookplate

This bookplate, created by the New York engravers Ames & Rollinson (around 1900 presumably), "borrows" Sacker's central design from the cover of Robert Neilson Stephens' Philip WinwoodMr. Hayward was a member of the "Sons of the American Revolution" and clearly interested in the history and imagery of the late 18th century.   My thanks, again, to John Lehner for this curious artifact.
